The stone and the cardboard (Triptych) is the invention of three tales with the same title, created by three Korean dancer-performers, Chaemin Jeong, Jihye Chung and Jiin Gook. The three solos will be the result of an online workshop directed by Yann Marussich, spread over two weeks. The workshop articulates itself around the construction and execution of solo performances with an accent put on body's limits. The workshop will be structured around the theme of the tale; how can we tell a tale from our own body?

After glass and concrete, Yann Marussich now wishes to explore two new materials: stone and cardboard. They are two materials, one natural and the other manufactured, one is dense and the other light. At first sight, they have nothing to do with each other. These two materials are very common: in all countries, we find stones and in all countries, we find cardboard. The work will first consist of a physical confrontation: how does the body relate to these elements; these materials? Then, the work will consist in building a tale from these two elements through the body and an action of the body. The content will belong to the three trainees and cannot be described in advance. Everything remains to be defined through poetry through the body.

The workshop will take place online for two weeks from September 29 to October 9, 2021 and will be concluded with a public performance on October 15 during the SPAF - Seoul Performing Arts Festival.
