Description:

« a widespread disease is the diagnosis » Karl Kraus

This is an informal performance- there is no specific technique, no sound and just simple mood lighting. My body is covered with more or less large balls of fat which are crimped with the help of medical thread to make them emerge in relief. I am wearing underwear and am in the middle of the audience who can circulate around me and even touch the balls. During the performance I am completely still. A woman (or several women) in white coats give a piece of paper with a doctor’s form on it to each audience member who then must decide on a diagnosis, and a prescription. The woman collects the papers once each person has finished writing. I started off with the intention to look in part at the fact that the diagnosis is a disease
and that people often feel like the doctor wants under all circumstances just to give out a diagnosis for everything. I consider myself as a support to an impersonal projection. The diagnosis is just an additional pretext to talk about the relationship with the body, in a language normally known by everyone, in other words the relationship doctor/patient.

The second starting point is in relation to the balls of fat which flourish on my body. Each doctor who saw me gave me a different diagnosis. As this problem did not have a direct influence on my health i was quite amused and thought that at this point everyone could be in the position to diagnose me. The audience must use their imagination.
